TEDxUTSC: Converging Realities
TEDx at University of Toronto Scarborough Campus hosted their second conference on February 1st, 2014. As the Director of Design, I worked with the Marketing and Communications team and produced the visual identity of the 2014 conference theme: Converging Realities. In addition to the visual identity, I designed any marketing material necessary for facilitation of the event, always trying to find creative ways to translate the brand and values of TEDxUTSC into persuasive promotional materials.
Converging Realities is our unique theme for TEDxUTSC’s 2014 conference. This theme represents the coming together of individual thoughts, disciplines and unique life experiences to inspire an exciting idea. The logo for our theme depicts just that, the coming together of different backgrounds to form anew. I have chosen the mix of bright and muted colours to contrast a person's given appearance and assumptions with their inner story, past, knowledge, and experiences.
